Dove Hunt - Coleman County

Ranch in Coleman County (North of Coleman, Texas)

Cost is $325.00 per hunter, which includes lodging (with bedding), snacks, drinks and meals. You will need to bring your hunting license, shotgun and shells. The group will arrive at the ranch between 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Tuesday to greet one another and have a general meeting before heading to the fields. You will hunt that afternoon till sundown, and then return to the lodge for an evening meal. The next morning, a quick breakfast snack and hunt until mid-morning, then return back to the lodge for a late brunch before departing the ranch.

  1. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend and spend the weekend sharing about your relationship with the Lord. Please be in prayer concerning this opportunity.
  2. Space is limited on this hunting trip to a first come first serve basis. To reserve space for this trip make checks payable to Texas Baptist Men and send to 5351 Catron, Dallas, TX 75227. The price of $325.00 per hunter covers lodging (which includes bedding, towels, etc.), snacks, drinks, meals and guide service (tips for the guides have not been included). Those hunting will need to provide the following items:
    • Valid Texas Hunting License with a Texas Migratory Game Bird Endorsement.
    • Shotgun and shells
    • Chair/stool/bucket- to sit on in the field
    • Ear/Eye protection- optional.
  3. Safety is a major consideration. Guns are to be kept on safety while walking. Make sure of your shot and zone of fire before firing. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Anyone desiring to attend this YCO and any of the Specialty Training events scheduled for October 13, 2018, over-night lodging will be available at the church. You will need to bring your own bedding materials. Dinner on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning will be provided by the Belton Feeding Unit and shower facilities will be provided by the Austin Baptist Association Disaster Relief Team. There is no charge for the meals or showers; however, donations will be accepted. Please advise Judy Phipps by email no later than October 10, 2018, of your intention to stay over-night as space is limited and the feeding team needs to know how many meals to prepare.
