Basketball Tournament

The State Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 2nd, 2019. There are three separate divisions and tournaments.  

•Challengers I tournament is for young men in the 6th-9th grades.  

•Challengers II tournament is for young men in the 10th-12th grades.  

•Young Adult Men's Ministry (YAMMs) tournament is open to young men, age 18 to 35, who are not in high school. The young men must be members of/or associated with a local church. 


Sports programs have the strong ability to attract a young man’s attention. The basketball program is not only a tool that involves young Christian men in the mission activity of a local church, but it also can be a tool for enlisting those who are outside the influence of the church as well.

·Multiple Church Team – members or associates of churches combine to form one team (one church needs to be designated the lead contact church, the team name should possibly represent the combination of the churches involved, i.e. Southside Churches of XYZ Texas)

·Regional Team – members or associates of churches from a region

Description: Basic skills on how to safely operate chainsaws while helping survivors in a disaster.  Basic tree felling, limbing and bucking techniques will also be reviewed/introduced. This is a full day course with classroom training followed by hands on training with a chainsaw. Students should come dressed for field operations—long pants, preferably long sleeve work shirt, work shoes or boots; no shorts or sandals. Chainsaws and safety equipment will be provided. This training is FREE; however, all attendees are required to purchase a manual at a cost of $12.00. Registration online is required!

Leadership Training Camp

Leadership Training Camp is a structured wilderness camp designed to increase the knowledge and skills of men and young men under the leadership of Christ. LTC is scheduled for June 2-8, 2019 at Lake Lenamon with in the remote area of Latham Springs Camp & Retreat Center.

LTC utilizes a progressive method of learning the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of campcraft and activity skills in order to live outdoors safely and comfortably. All men and young men who have completed the seventh grade through senior men, including Royal Ambassadors and Challengers adult leadership (male), are eligible to attend. The camp facility is not conducive to a coed camping experience. All visitors need to report to camp leadership upon arrival at LTC.


The camp cost is $200 per person with a $50 discount credit for each person that pre-registers before June 1st.  Pre-registration is encouraged for everyone before June 1st. Regional State Staffer trainees do not have to send a check or register on-line but you must send the completed form to the TBM Office before June 1st.  Please download and read the following information and determine which camp and electives are of interest to you.
